This is a special episode solely about the Superman movie. We discuss, Zac Snyder being announced as the official director of the Superman re re boot. We also discuss fans' reactions and the shortlists given for the two major roles (Clark/Superman and Lois).

Season 3 Episode 25

Posted by tinmanfrisbie on February 27th, 2011

We discuss the latest episode of Smallville entitled, "Fortune". It should have been entitled, "Unnecessary waste of my time in a one room casino". Anyway, We enjoyed the podcast (making fun of the episode, really was a lot of fun), which is way better than the episode, I promise!

Hi there, I want to thank Kaman and his minions, Isaac and Adam, for the great podcast.Kaman have you been the brains behind this podcast all along and only now inspired by the Blur are coming out of the shadows? Kidding! As always you guys are a lot of fun to listen to even if I found your opinions of the episode a bit harsher than mine. But those are your opinions and it’s nice that you are so honest. I can understand because at this point we are all waiting for the story to move along. It’s true the episodes with Lionel just shine because he is the the cream of the villains while this week we only got the processed cheese of the baddies. Still it’s good to remember that in the comics not all the villains are created equal. For every Luthor, Brainiac, Zod, Darkseid and even Myxlplyx you have your Toyman, Prankster, jealous-ex from high-school or thug of the week or regular friend under the influence of cosmic radiation, Mayan temple curse, alien flu spores or the full moon. Also, if Tess’ office at the Daily Planet has a slide why can’t the Watchtower have a mini-bar and emergency bed? Don’t our heroes deserve to be comfortable in the line of duty? Hopefully they leave a cowboy hat or utility belt draped over the door knob in case Aquaman or the Flash unexpectedly drop by. Bottom line, I am not ashamed to say that I did enjoy the episode. Why? Because soon there will be no more new episodes so no more Smallville to look forward to. So even if it is a weird episode it’s still a small window into that world. And I loved that silly, chip-chomping lemur on Clark’s chest when he woke up. And, I hope that they include Emile and Tess’ singing debut on the album when it comes out. Just remember kids… Capes and alcohol do not mix. Bet you Zatanna doesn’t get invited to the wedding.

Anabel, thanks for the comments it’s always nice to get your comments, and yes Kaman has been controlling behind the scenes the whole time! ;) Josh - I don’t think that would be such a bad idea, but maybe as someone else, like a male lackey on Themyscira, hahahahaha!

Anabel - Once again, thank you for listening and commenting. Isaac I think Anabel is one of our most loyal fans. She always listens and comments. Maybe we should give her an honourary mention when we do the Worldies. Josh - It would be great if Welling appeared as Superman. However, given his reluctance to appear as Superman on his own show as Superman in the final season, I doubt it’ll happen.

Hi Adam, I am now blushing with delusions of grandeur! Just in case though I will press my cape so it is spic and span for the Worldies. LOL! Now, the idea of a male lackey on Themyscira has a certain appeal to it. Much as I admire Tom Welling I think that Justin Hartley was more appropriately dressed for the part in Fortune!
