Hi guys, great assembly! To your point about too many villains in one movie I think that it just hasn’t been done right yet (except for maybe in Star Wars, this is for you Mark! where you get not only the main villain but their almost as powerful underlings to muck up the heroe’s progress). One of my all time favourite comics was a three part deluxe series of World’s Finest with awesome artwork by Steve Rude. You had Batman and Superman vs The Joker and Lex Luthor. Not sure how you would pull something like that off in a movie, (except a little in Superman 2 with Luthor and Zod) but it surely would be worth a try. Lately whenever Braniac stars in a comic Luthor is not too far behind so who knows? As well as taking for granted a Stan Lee cameo are we not all now expecting those excellent extra scenes after the credits? I’m telling you we are spoiled! Cheers
Thanks for the comments, Anabel! Always a pleasure reading your review. I agree that multiple villains CAN be done it’s nigh impossible, though. At least based on the movies I’ve seen it usually doesn’t get pulled off successfully. But I do think that anything’s possible.
You make some really good points Anabel! Personally, I’d love to see Batman and Superman on screen in the same film. But not until they’ve firmly re-established Superman. Maybe after a sequel to Man of Steel if all goes well. I’d also love to see a Flash film as well as Wonder Woman. Thanks for listening and supporting our podcast Anabel. Isaac and I are lucky to have a dedicated listener such as yourself.
